Chessmate: Puzzle Rush

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Chessmate: Puzzle Rush (“the Game”, “we”, “our”) is a chess puzzle game from Codenova Gaming Studio, the games label of Codenova Tech. It is listed on Google Play under the developer name III Amigoes and on the App Store under Shyam Khokhariya; both listings are the same Game and this policy covers both. The puzzles are played on your device. We collect only what we need to keep the Game stable, funded and improving. This policy explains what is collected, why, and what you can turn off.

1. Information we collect

There is no account. You do not give us a name, an email address, a phone number or a password to play. What the Game touches falls into these categories:

  • On-device game data. Puzzles solved, your progress and your settings are stored in the app’s own storage on your device.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase). Pseudonymous usage events, such as which screens you open, which puzzles you start and finish, how long a session lasts and which features get used, together with an app-instance identifier, your app version, operating system, and general device and country information supplied by the platform.
  • Crash and stability data (Firebase Crashlytics). If the Game crashes or hits an error we receive a stack trace, the device model, the OS version and the build of the Game, so we can fix it.
  • Advertising (Google AdMob). Ads fund the free version. To serve them, Google may process your device’s advertising identifier, IP address and coarse information about the ad request. Whether ads are personalized depends on the choices described in section 4.
  • Purchases. In-app purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We see only what their SDKs return, such as the product identifier, a transaction identifier and whether it validated. We never see your card number, billing address or store account.
  • Google Play Services. On Android, the Game uses Google Play Services, which may process device information as described in Google’s privacy policy.

2. What we do not collect

  • No name, email address, phone number or account of any kind.
  • No contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera access.
  • No precise location. The Game does not request location permission.
  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.

3. How we use it

  • To keep the Game running and to fix crashes.
  • To understand which puzzles are too hard, which features get used and where players get stuck.
  • To process in-app purchases through Apple or Google.
  • To serve the ads that fund the free version, and to measure whether they worked.
  • To answer you when you contact support.

We do not use your data to build a profile of you outside the Game, and we do not run automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Your choices

  • Device ad settings. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or Android Settings → Google → Ads. On iOS, the advertising identifier is only available for tracking if you allow it.
  • Consent. Where the law requires consent for personalized ads or analytics, you can give, refuse or withdraw it through the consent options Google provides in the Game, and through your device settings.
  • Stop all collection. Uninstalling the Game stops all collection of information by the Game.

5. Children

The Game is built for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the Game, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Third-party services

The Game integrates the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

  • Google Play Services (policy).
  • Google AdMob (policy).
  • Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics (policy).
  • Apple, for App Store distribution and in-app purchases (policy).

7. Data retention

Analytics and crash data are retained by our processors for a limited period, in line with their standard retention windows, and then aggregated or deleted. Everything else lives on your device until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the Game.

8. International transfers

Our processors, Google and Apple, operate globally, so the limited data described above may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States. Those transfers rely on the safeguards those companies publish, such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, India’s DPDP Act and others), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, to opt out of targeted advertising and to complain to your supervisory authority. Because the Game holds no account, the fastest way to erase everything that could be linked to your device is to uninstall it. For anything else, email us at the address below and tell us your platform and approximate date of first install.

10. Security

We keep the amount of data we handle deliberately small, and rely on the platform encryption and transport security provided by iOS, Android and our processors. No transmission or storage is ever completely secure.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Game evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
